HONORING YOUTH POWER AND EXPERIENCE (HYPE)

HYPE supports the youth by building community well-being and advocating for social justice.

Serving Rhode Islanders between the ages of 13 to 24, who do not have stable housing and aren’t in the physical custody of a guardian, our program offers important resources for individuals to get back on track.

BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS

HYPE outreach staff meets youth in-person or virtually, wherever they feel comfortable. We offer immediate basic needs, supplies, and short-term resource navigation support.

We listen to the youth’s goals, explain what resources exist, and break down barriers to get them the housing and community support they need.

Our mission is to increase the youth’s access to safe housing and a supportive community, reducing the rising rate of youth homelessness in Rhode Island, until it no longer exists.
