HELLO FRIENDS,
The end of the year is a critical time for your neighbors experiencing
homelessness. And we need YOU and YOUR help more than ever.
The seasons are changing. Freezing temperatures are coming.
And due to rising rents, full shelters, and long waiting lists,
hundreds of Rhode Islanders will be without shelter this winter.
Winter brings an increased need – not just for tents, sleeping bags,
blankets, coats, and hats. It brings a greater need for education,
advocacy, and policies that provide a safe and warm home for all.
At House of Hope we are driven by the belief that
Housing is a basic human right
With your support, House of
Hope’s efforts have expanded as
we approach the end of 2023.
House of Hope has reached a
new milestone, aiding 1,000
individuals over the last year
through our street outreach.
And in just the last six
months, we’ve provided
another 1,000 showers via
Shower to Empower,
surpassing 8,000 showers in
total since the program
began.
And yet! The shelter gap is growing as more
people face a winter on the streets.
As always, we are deeply grateful to each of you for your support as we fight together
for housing as a basic human right. And the time to show your support is now.
We need your help. Now is the time to lift up your neighbor in need. Now is the time to
bring someone in from the storm. And now is the time to show that Rhode Island can
provide a safe and warm home for all.
Please consider making your gift or committing to supporting House of Hope with a
monthly gift today.
YOU will make a difference in someone’s life – giving someone living on the streets
back their dignity and safety. Your support keeps life-saving and life-sustaining
programs in place across Rhode Island.
We cannot do this work without you.
Will you join us today?
With Gratitude,
Laura Jaworski
